#66 I got a discard "unsaved data" prompt in mail.teknik.io, but I don't think I triggered it.

My issue is, I selected a draft email, then I clicked edit, but for some reason, a prompt came up asking me if i want to discard unsaved data, I said no, because I don’t know what it means by that, since I was asking to edit not discard anything. If this was ui lag that could be possible, but I don’t see any button around where I was working that could have made this prompt appear.

So what is it, and what would it do if I said yes?

To replicate this, try the following:

  1. Press C to compose a new message
  2. Press Ctrl+S to save it as draft
  3. Press Esc (it minimizes the message, doesn’t close it -- notice the New message button is orange)
  4. Go to the Drafts folder and edit the saved draft in step 2.

You get the message if you want to discard unsaved data, which is referring to the minimized message, that wasn’t closed, in step 3.

If you try the same steps above but press Shift+Esc on step 3, you will close the window (with a confirmation first) and not minimize it.
